--- Quote from: laizeohbeets on 03 May 2010, 01:13 ---So... Dora told Sven not to make a move on Marigold. Which means... He will. Inadvertently. Because that's how Sven rolls.

Or...Dora's planning something...with items from the box of "Party Favors"
Goddammit my mind's been in the gutter a lot recently.

for comic #1656...
1. "cockatrice", heh. It was both a chuckle and groan pun from Faye for the readers.
2. Gods help Marigold if Sven does use his "Come Hither" look. [EDIT ADD: Though I always wondered what might have happened if Sven had successfully used it on Hannelore instead of Faye, way back when... 8-) .]
3. I always enjoy seeing Dora in the guardian role, in this case for Marigold. Dora knows or feels that Marigold is not yet ready to handle someone like Sven (...yet?). And with Marigold's recent heartbreak, another negative encounter (even if a casual fling) could backslide Marigold to her shut-in habits again, and I doubt even Hanners could pull her out again.
4. Poor Sven and the assumptions about him; either women throw themselves at him, or are ready to throw a book at his face. Perhaps a friendly-company meal with Marigold by way of apology for stealing his Crusades...?

Arrrr! These be stormy waters. If Sven is to stay off the rocks, he'd better be a cunning coxswain!
Border Reiver:
So Sven was hatched on a dungheap by a rooster?

--- Quote from: Is it cold in here? on 03 May 2010, 00:46 ---Now, to Marigold, Sven may have the allure of the forbidden. Faye's attempts to save her may backfire.

Exactly. And if nothing else, they both are likely curious just what all the fuss is about. And Sven was just starting to become less shallow, too... blargleblagh. Terribly risky for both and all because of Dora and Faye's overreacting!
