akronnick:
She's probably afraid Faye would drop her.

Several comments on Dora and Faye's overreacting. Is it breaking down on gender lines? Is it cuz I'm a guy that I say, give Sven a fucking break and stop being all Holier Than Thou?  I hated Sven's casual disregard of womens' feelings as much as anyone, but I don't feel he's in the wrong here.

Remember that Faye did NOT want commitment! So as crummy as you think the drunken Gina Riversmith slip was, STOP beating Sven up about it and putting Faye on a pedestal! If Faye was so hurt by Sven's slippage, I think he's been at least as hurt by her (and Dora's) unfair bullshit.  Or is this a Female-Entitlement issue, that you can declare a fuck-buddy relationship, but really mean YOU OWN HIM?  I call Double-Standard!!

It's just you. Jeph just hasn't given her any lines in this drama/commotion. Like many other shy, introverted people, she's watching the people around her act like total douchebags, so I'm left seeing her as yes, more sane.

westrim:

--- Quote from: Kugai on 04 May 2010, 00:26 ---The thing with the Smif Con was she was in her element.  Outside of that, she's just as awkward as ever.

She is trying new things, and the gang have brought her out of her shell so to speak, and that's what's making her appear more inept.  She''s probably doing things she has never done before and, on her own, would probably never do.

I'm surprised Momo hasn't shocked Faye at this point.

--- End quote ---

What, and going to bars and playing dressup was her element too? If she was this bad back then she would never have walked into that bar.

She was walking down the street and bumped into someone- and she's been speechless, except when with only people that she already knew, since then. That can't have been the first time this has happened to her, and I really doubt that her response was to freeze up and run every time, possibly with whatever possession smacked into her.

akronnick:
Is it just me or does Sven seem intrigued with Marigold?

Is the warning that Dora gave him causing some kind of reaction?

Is he fascinated by her tiny AnhroPC?

Is it the fact that she's the first female he's met in a long time who isn't throwing herself at him or scorning him for being a manwhore?

Funny, I was noticing that Marigold seems intrigued by Sven...
Understandable, he's the top of the male attractiveness scale, and even a brief fling with him would raise her status significantly, thus boosting her bruised ego and her subsequent dating possiblilities...

Or am I too cynical (realistic)?
