Only some of them, state laws get weird. I think they can do beer/wine in MD but not liquor because that is state-controlled and only sold at county stores.

Yeah, in NY it is Beer only. They could technically carry wine, but you have to close by a certain time to carry it. Actual liquor is dedicated stores only.

You can buy any kind of booze in any supermarket in the UK.

They had all kinds at the one we went to, so apparently Indiana wants their people to get drunk. North Dakota and Minnesota cannot sell any alcohol IN the store, but there is a Wal-Mart just across the river in Minnesota that has a liquor store attached, with a separate entrance.
