David_Dovey:
It's probably more a matter of being able to get time off of work for me than anything. I don't know how flexible they're gonna be, what with it being a short-term seasonal thing anyway

Because big money isn't in natural (except food), it is in computers, and that means bases 2, 8, and 16. Besides, natural does not mean better. See: Football. Or baseball. Anabolic all over the place.

Dude, how does binary justify Imperial measurement?

Hilariously, to count our money we use base 10 math.

Computers count in base 2 because they have two fingers. We have ten. Therefore, us programmers make sure we convert from base two to base ten before we print out your payslip. If you do your taxes in hex, your tax inspector will have a cow.

On top of that, the relationship between base 2 (and its derived bases such as 8 and 16) and the alleged superiority of the Imperial system is completely nonexistant.

Zingoleb:
Base 8 is the same thing as base 10...if you're missing two fingers.

peterh:
"How did 64 get into it?"

"I hear you cry."

(I have to admit I thought of this song when I posted, but I was afraid the reference would be lost... apparently not. :D
