Firstly, that is an amazing idea for a trip, maybe the best one I have ever heard.
Secondly, if you do come through Colorado, and don't mind going up into the mountains a few miles away from civilization with someone that you have never met, I would absolutely be up for hiking with you guys. I'm kind of a pussy, though, so I might not be able to hike all that fast. And there is also a restaurant in a town called Estes Park that has the best strawberry-rhubarb pie I have ever tasted. It is right outside of a national park with a lot of great hikes.
No couch, though. I live with my parents, who would be less than thrilled to have a couple of strangers sleeping on their couch.

Okay so I mentioned this to my father. If I have a place of my own by then, great! If not, he's still more than willing to help y'all out. We live like...half an hour from Niagara Falls, maybe a little more, so we could probably take you up there, show you around.
