Dovey sorry I totally missed this before, but it's worth putting this out there since you're coming soon. I'm in DC and have a monster comfy couch that you guys are welcome to duke it out for/share if you are not super allergic to cats. If I know for sure you're coming, I may actually go out and buy an air mattress. I would need to have a heads up on the time you'd be in the area, since I will be super busy with wedding stuff around late September.
To see in DC besides the museums:
- National Arboretum (GORGEOUS huge greenspace in the city, with crazy bonsai and column ruins too)
- Gravely Point Park (park right by an airport over the line to Virginia where you watch planes zoom over your head Waynes World style)
- If summer, screens on the green, where they show old movies on huge outdoor screens by the Washington Monument
- Camping is available for 15 bucks a night a half hour out of the city in Greenbelt Park
- National Zoo, which is also free

Dovey, like I said early, if you are coming to St. Louis, you are more than welcome to crash here. We've got comfy couches, and also hairy cats. If either of you are allergic it might not work. But yeah, I'll pm you our info if you are headed our way.

come august 15-16thish i will be living in coquitlam, which is not quite vancouver (i am poor and the rent was way cheaper there than in downtown vancouver so fuck that noise) but it's all part of the greater vancouver area anyway and you can get to the city in like an hour by bus. i know you said you'd mostly be hanging out and working at the alberta/bc border, but you and sam are of course welcome to my couch and/or floor if you decide to head further west and if you are cool with being just a teeny bit out of the city.

I will give you my bed and my sleeping bag if you get out to the SF Bay Area, fucked if I'm going to make you sleep on my tiny-ass couch. I prefer sleeping on the floor in my closet anyway.
No, I'm not joking, if you need a place to crash around here for a night, that is how it's gonna be if you decide to come to Livermore.
