first harry potter 7 trailer!

I expect it to be PG13 in the states. I can't see it going above that, even if it is a lot darker and there's a lot of fighting than the other movies. There's nothing else to it that would give it a higher rating (i.e. graphic sex/nudity, extreme violence, copious drug/alcohol abuse). I don't think kids 11+ would have a problem with it, but younger kids probably shouldn't just because I think all the deaths would be too much to handle.

Admittedly I haven't paid that  much itnerest in films since meeting my fiancee and having less time but the UK ones used to be very informative because, as I suspect the US ones are, they were targetted at the audience they wanted to reach.  However, I try to avoid American trailers as they tend to give spoilers and/or scenes from near the end.  If I know how it's going to end and/or a major twist, then why bother watching?

--- Quote from: Eris on 28 Jun 2010, 22:21 ---Why is there an 8 month gap between the two movies? They have obviously filmed it all, going from the trailer, so it's not like they still have stuff to do on it. I would understand November 2010 and early 2011, but July? Annoying.

Because more people go to the cinema during the summer than the winter.  If they launch in July then they can sell more tickets and make bigger profits.

first official full trailer.

That made me want to watch it less.  Just as I expected it had spoilers, worse, it concentrated on them.  It seemed to be saying only the last bit of the 2nd film is worth watching.

Now that I've seen the trailer, unless Julie asks me to take her to the cinema/watch on DVD, I'll wait til it comes to TV.

Yes, I know the last book is a lot slower but there were lots of other interesting things they could have mentioned that came earlier.

Wait, you were worried about spoilers in a Harry Potter movie?

It's odd, you've made me think of something that has slowly been dawning on me for a while.. I think I know the story of most movies I'm watching recently. I don't go and read a summary or something, I just know what the story is. Which implies that the trailers are a lot more informative than I give them credit for, or there aren't very many original movies being made anymore.

The only movie that I have seen recently that I can remember being like 'I know absolutely nothing about this movie except that it's highly recommended' was Moon.

Maybe I should stop watching trailers?

Ozymandias:
^ I have also been considering this notion.

I love watching trailers, though.

They're exciting.

I realised, after I signed off, that that's almost a contradication in terms as probably 90% of the audience have read the books.

{edit}But the trailer did concentrate too much on the final fight scenes (suggesting the rest of the movie isn't any good).
