OK, I've checked The Urban Dictionary, they have "herp derp", but how does it apply? Is it Hannelore herping over leaving her purse behind, and Sven derping over spending date time talking about Faye's assets and breastets?

No, no, no, they're just silly face noises. They happen to have used similar ones, which, along with the fact that they both thought to pull a face at such a moment, made them break out laughing.
As a thick glasses wearer, I really appreciated Jeph's eye for detail in respect to the inner reflections of Sven's specs. Hanner's eyes shining in the starlight are one thing; catching the tricks that lenses play on light is a whole 'nother ball o' wax (made of assholes).
Back to my original avatar, I think. I'm guessing no one remembers this one, I had ZombieHanners for soooo long...

It's still a serious limitation of Sven's that he can only be friends with a woman if sex is off the table. The incipient friendship with Faye aborted when they started boinking.
Sven does need a Just a Friend to replace Faye's lost friendship. Hannelore's flashes of insight might be exactly what he needs.
The benefit to Hanners is less clear. In Marten, she's already got a good male friend who will give her straight answers to awkward questions.
