Meanwhile, I think I need an insulin shot, maybe 25 units or so.
Tasinja, where are you when we need you?

I prefer "O Death" for the birthday song, much more appropriate.
And to deal with the sweetness I recommend a fairly hoppy beer - Wytchcraft should do it.
Tergon:
Good character development, interesting plot points, and general funniness aside, I would just like to comment that these last couple of comics have really been some of Jeph's best artwork, in my opinion. I don't know if he's doing much differently, or if it's just been a run of strips that played to his strengths as an artist, but the entire date has been some truly excellent drawing work. Today's was just the pick of the bunch, even more so than Hanners being engulfed in The World's Most Giant Hoodie.
Bravo, sir.

--- Quote from: Is it cold in here? on 05 Oct 2010, 22:30 ---It's still a serious limitation of Sven's that he can only be friends with a woman if sex is off the table. The incipient friendship with Faye aborted when they started boinking.

More like when he started boinking someone else. HEYO!

IICIH's point, which you missed, was that it ceased to become a friendship before that.

--- Quote from: Is it cold in here? on 05 Oct 2010, 22:30 ---The benefit to Hanners is less clear. In Marten, she's already got a good male friend who will give her straight answers to awkward questions.

"Sorry, we can't be friends - I already have an asian friend who I can go dancing with, so that slot is full."
That mindset makes no sense. Of course you can have more friends who play similar roles in your life.
akronnick:
G: Elaine, take me with you.
E: I'm sorry, we already have a George.
