Yeah Mai and I told the border guards we were meeting people from the internet. When they searched my car they found an exploded box of baking soda and my spinning wheel and were like "do you always carry this around with you?" but by the time we got to the next person who asked, I wised up and said we were going to a convention.

One time I was fifteen and flying alone to Canada to (legitimately!) visit my best friend and her family at their cabin.

The border guards detained me for, like, 2 hours because they were convinced I was running away to go live with someone I'd met on the Internet. WTF.

Whoever ended up with me! If you are going to be late (as in, if the package will arrive wherever after January 3rd), you will need to send it to me in Montreal. I'm pretty sure I gave Jace my parent's address in Vancouver, which is where I'll be over Christmastime, once exams end in a week and a bit. If this is going to be a problem, let Jace know I guess and I'll make sure the right address gets to you.

My person's gift has not arrived here yet and I leave the country in like three days so it might not get posted out until the start of January

POSTAL FAIL. I ordered it ages ago! Then again I ordered something in like October which still hasn't arrived (but that is coming from Japan I guess).

When I went out to visit the Internet I don't think they asked me why I knew Eed, but I had been briefed not to tell them anyway so I think Edith is my cousin or something on the paperwork. I'm guessing they won't ask me why I'm travelling when I go to Norway but if they do I'll just say "oh yeah we just kind of met in Indiana this one time".

I have all the stuff together to send mine, but there was this cute kid at the store where I bought it who wanted to gift-wrap it, and then I put it under my tree when I got home and it looks so nice to have presents there! So I am not going to mail mine out until the 27th and it should arrive around the 30th. I'm shipping domestically.

So, somebody who lives in the USA, you'll get it before 2011, I think.

Also, BK, I have never lived IN the mitten, but I'm about an hour south of it, so I go there a good bit. Going to Ka'zoo for Christmas, in fact!
