Fun Stuff > CHATTER
We love our pets!
jwhouk:
She apparently has had kidney issues for a while now, and the last few days she's refused to eat anything except soft kitty treats.
Since we don't have it in the budget for a kidney transplant, we really don't have... a choice.
Okay, I have to get off to bed or I'm going to just bawl for the next three hours.
Welu:
So sorry. :-(
nekowafer:
Yeah, I didn't know it was her last visit. I'm sorry. I know just how much that hurts.
She knows how much you love her. Remind her while she's still with you.
mtmerrick:
Oh, that sucks :( you have my condolences.
(I didn't know kidney transplants for cats was even a thing)
nekowafer:
Much of the stuff a human can get, an animal can get, especially if it's a cat or dog. I mean, my cat just had a somewhat complicated fracture in his arm repaired by surgery. I've had a ferret go in for adrenal gland tumor de-bulking (he didn't make it), another go in for exploratory surgery on his stomach, and several more have skin tumors removed. There are veterinary neurology and ophthalmology specialists near me, and getting an ultrasound or x-ray is easy enough. Pets can even get MRIs.
