Holy shit, I think my band might have played a show with Man The Harpoons at some point.  We played a show at the train station in Shepherdstown and all of the other bands were just like them.

Nobody liked us.

sean:
WHAT YOU ARE AROUND SHEPHERDSTOWN! I KNOW 'BOUT THAT TRAIN STATION!

i've never been to a show there though so i dunno what kind of crowd that place draws. usual towny crowd that hangs at the wall, i guess. anyway, i mean i think man the harpoons has only played like, two shows, the second being tonight and the first was at the castle, so i dunno? maybe they have?

also shepherdstown as a whole as a fucking awful taste in music.

Well, I guess it must've been some other shitty metalcore band, then.

Yeah!  I live in College Park, my band at the time was centralized in Frederick, so we mostly played shows in that whole Western-Maryland area.

Regardless, we had a really weird time in Shepherdstown; the whole place kind of freaked me out.  We arrived at the train 2 hours before we were scheduled to play (we were first in the line-up) and there was nobody there... The venue was locked.  So we went to a little cafe closer to campus where I was hit on by an attractive waitress.  On the way back to the venue, some dude tried to pick a fight with my band's bassist for no reason.  Then, the only news reporter in the town told us about how his last story was about a missing turtle and how our predicament could be his next big article.

We got back to the venue 20 minutes before we were scheduled to go on and they were just setting up.  We played, nearly half the crowd left to smoke outside and the rest of the bands were some denomination of -core.  Oh, and it rained the whole time.

sean:
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAA

did you go to the lost dog? the guy who owns the place only hires cute girls cause he's really creepy and weird. but yeah that sounds like most train station shows i have heard about.

I did this, sort of. Since I was going back and forth with Em/G (which already has that G) and plain ol' E minor, I ended up climbing the ladder and going Em, F, Em/G. With how I'm actually playing it, a normal G seemed a bit too chimey and bright.

I need to work out one last bit this afternoon, but I'll get it recorded and upload it for you guys soon.
