I guess kinda? I never really understand what Southern Lord is doing. But then again they're reissuing Heavy Rocks this spring, so that's cool.

Weard Bierd:
I've been playing music off and on for a while, not really doing much recording. But I just made a demo of a folky song I'm working on for a friend, and would love to hear what people think. The recording was (very clearly once you listen) done in one take on my computer, but hopefully I'll be able to do some higher quality recordings soon, with more than just my crummy voice and a banjo.

I fee like it's popular. Maybe it's just the circles I move in but it seems everywhere I look it's Black Breath this, Trap Them that, Circle the Wagons the other.

Southern Lord definitely aren't the apex of the beardocracy anymore, though, for sure. I'm pretty sure that garland goes to Seasons of Mist these days.

Lummer:
Profound Lore, dude. Profound Lore.

SWOON! at My Gravitas:
I think Southern Lord is still the first label people think of when the words beards and metal are mentioned in the same sentence
