KingOfIreland:
This is another of my trademark half finished recordings for you including forgetting how the last part goes because I'm hung over :D
But screw it, at least I'm getting better at the guitar while singing thing

Detachable Felix:
Having played a few of the songs from said album on my radio show, I heartily endorse it.  :-D

Patrick:
Likewise. Chad, it probably goes without saying by now, but I appreciate the fuck out of your band and your collective efforts. Please don't ever stop.

Tonight I got drunk and decided to write a song about an airliner I watched as it passed over my hometown. And it reminded me of my dad, who is aging a year per month, it seems. So I decided to write about the airplane, and my feelings regarding my relationship with my pops just decided to show up out of nowhere. I got lucky tonight.

Anyway, here's a rough demo of the song, and since the recording quality is POTATO~~~ the lyrics follow below, spoilered for the tidiness of the thread:

(click to show/hide)D, A, G, e

Where are you going, you big plane in the sky
I used to lose my balance to follow your path with my own eyes and then I'd
I'd always lose you at some distant point ten miles away and
What was it worth to track you anyway

Deep in the night, it's 1 o'clock and hushed, you're in a rush and
You've got some place to run, and smiles to trade and hands to touch
You move so fast I wonder if you sense the massive distance
I wonder if you know yourself at day's end

G, A, D b

And when you're wandering, you sense a part of you is missing
You know you're missing something big, it seems
And you've got dreams of seeing all the world through your own eyes and
What does it mean if it means nothing

D, A, G, e

You're off to lands unknown with purpose I can't understand and
You move with speeds I just can't fathom
And you've got some special need to get there so much faster than me
Your laurels never see you perched upon them
