Patrick:
I feel like it was time to move on. As moving as it was to watch Matt while we played that song, I know it hurt him to keep playing it over and over. It is to him what "Fire And Rain" is to James Taylor; a song about losing your best friend.

Which, as a cruel twist of fate, is far and away his biggest and best hit, in the case of both artists.

jwhouk:
I suspect he won't post about it on here, but apparently the boss is back in the studio for a few days.

How did this happen?  :psyduck:
I like it though

This is based around a bassline I wrote when I was about sixteen and never did anything with, so in recording it, it kind of turned into a bass duet with accompaniment by guitar. I oddly like it. Needs a bit more work to get some mistakes out and I need to get rid of that hiss, but otherwise it's everything I dreamt of at sixteen

Dimmukane:
Not my music, but my step-brother-in-law's.  He's solely responsible for my 4-year old walking around singing "Strawberry Fields", and he does all his own music and art.  He says he's influenced by The Beatles (obviously) and Dr. Dog and a few other local bands in the Maryland area, but I think he sounds a fair bit like Women (and Grizzly Bear, from time to time).  He's actually pretty good, for an 18-year old kid, and I'm not saying that with even a hint of nepotism.

That reminds me a bit of Babyshambles or The Libertines, actually.

Good thing
