IDMG:
For what it's worth, I did actually pay for the album I thought it was pretty good.

Tycho - Drive (2011, Ghostly International) [electronic/Balearic/ambient/post-rock]

--- Quote from: Drowned in Sound ---Miami graphic designer Scott Hansen returns from a very, very long hiatus to release his second LP of shimmering electronica. Is there any way to describe the music of Tycho other than ‘shimmering’? Not really...The Tycho sound is one of pink sunsets, shuffling hipsters and old video hardware - basically Boards of Canada washed up on the shores of San Francisco. It’s also irresistibly good, which might explain why Hansen hasn’t dared mess with the formula that won him so many accolades back in 2004.

Hey guys it's been a while, but I really wanted to share something with you all.

Arbiter - Colossus [2010]

Arbiter is kind of self described as nerdy metal.  Don't let that mislead you, though, because these guys tear things up.  Basically they plan on putting out concept albums that have fairly large, sprawling back-stories to them in order to create an interesting environment.  Arbiter hails from Northern Michigan and just signed to Famined Records and are planning a release in the very near future.
