Wink Wink 2011 - A bit of a change this year
JD:
Talib Kweli - Gutter Rainbows[2011](320kb/s)

Solid album from a great rapper.
JimmyJazz:
Boom - The Sonics (Norton, 1966)
--- Code: ---http://www.M/F.com/?yk4jrjcfz04
--- End code ---
The second album by this 60's garage rock group from the American northwest. A lot of the record is covers but the originals are frantic, sinister rock songs that definitely point towards punk, and even the covers are imbued with an energy and a certain sense of abandon that rise above the typical bar-band run through of 50's rock tunes.
Icky Mettle - Archers of Loaf (Alias Records, 1994)
--- Code: ---http://www.M/F.com/?omozyynwmm5
--- End code ---
In light of recent news that Archers of Loaf might be playing several shows, here's their amazing debut album. If you've never listened to to them before here's the place to start.
Matador Singles '08 - Jay Reatard (Matador, 2008)
--- Code: ---http://www.M/F.com/?07cjg2hqsq6r8e2
--- End code ---
All the singles Jay Reatard released on Matador records in 2008. In my opinion in contains his best songs including "See/Saw" and "Always Wanting More," super fucking catchy are pop gems.
Smoking Acid EP - The Brian Jonestown Massacre (A Records, 2009)
--- Code: ---http://www.M/F.com/?ntlwozotu2z
--- End code ---
The first EP released on Anton Newcombe's new record label, A Records. Two of the songs are on Who Killed Sgt. Pepper? but it also contains another two songs unavailable on any other BJM LP and an alternate version of "Tempo 116.7"
A Sufi and a Killer - Gonjasufi (Warp, 2010)
--- Code: ---http://www.M/F.com/?3gjnkzznqmo
--- End code ---
Lo-fi hip-hop with touches of Middle Eastern music and pyschedelia thrown in for good measure. I downloaded the album at the behest of a friend the other day and was blown away.

I'm really enjoying this, thanks! Maybe one day I will get into music with guitars.

I only had a couple mp3s back from when myspace let people download stuff off music pages, so thanks! An old roommate had a vinyl of theirs that I always wanted to pick up but could never find (dunno why I never just ordered it online, actually...)
Anyway, YES these dudes are killer.
ellis:
Man I love the Sonics. Pretty excellent and varied post of music all around, that Gonjasufi was one of my favorite surprises of recent times.
