I recently started watching "The Irregular at Magic High School" and it's pretty good. It's basically anime Shadowrun but with awkward teenagers and no fantastical creatures. Be warned there's a lot of shipping between the lead and his sister. It's worth the watch if you can get past that and the lead being a total Mary Sue. imo the Mary Sue thing works in this case.
