Granted, Faye and Angus aren't really to that level yet, but one of the biggest benefits of having a significant other is body maintenance. It's why married people live significantly longer than single people. I've seen studies.

The family joke is that all the hair slid off my head and down my back. The time came when my daughters no longer wanted to rub the sunscreen on my back because of all the hair. Which made me realize I no longer needed sunscreen on my back, because of all the hair...
So they rub it on the top of my head, instead!
