guys do any of you have a real life analouge to the forum/meebo?
sean:
so i was (under the influence of marijuana) today and i was thinking about this, and i decided that i had a real life analouge to the forums! in the town i go to school in, there is this one spot everyone posts up in when its warm (its called the wall and yes in WV it has been gorgeous outside like, 60 degrees F in febuary what?) and it kind of reminds me of posting here/posting in meebo, in that its an incredibly relaxed and conversational place to be and even if you dont know somebody that well, you can just post up and shoot the shit and its always just chill. basically, kind of like an internet forum! though its also like this forum in that if you dont know anyone there you will feel strange and awkward cause nobody knows you but once you party with some people and chill with dudes people will know you and then you become kind of a "regular".
any of you have a real life situation like this? (drunk thread dont hate sup?)
JD:
Nope.
est:
I'd imagine there'd be some pubs or cafes around here like that. My fav cafe used to be kinda like that. The owner was nice, and I'd go there and have a chat and get a coffee, etc. Not exactly the same because I didn't really strike up conversations with just anyone, but I guess if I was a more outgoing person maybe I could?
jhocking:
"post up"?
McTaggart:
It's the new slang, I think.
