Ha, dude, when I suggested it for a few words people gave me shit.  But actually putting one of his characters on a shirt?  That seems to be going a bit too far.

The main reason why I would buy this shirt is my remembering "End of Evangelion".  I just wanted to reach through the big screen and slap him.

That movie soured me on the entirety of NGE.  So much so that I have not watched any of the Evangelion reboot series.  (Of course it helps that I have way too many shows to watch and not enough time to do it in.)
