Urrrr. As a person occasionally (and, one hopes, formerly) known for being booksmart but not always enough of the other kinds of smart, I've been in situations where I didn't want to call for help because I didn't want to, you know, look dumb. You can fill in the rest.

It pays to be able to break into your own home/car/place of employment.  Many people hide an extra key. 

I just use my B&E skills.

Normally thats true...Normally. But we are still talking about Raven, who tried to break into the coffee shop one morning...and got stuck. Which admittedly wouldn't have happened if Raven had been trusted with a key, while at the same time, kinda proved why she shouldn't have been trusted with a key...
