OK, realizing the great majority of us don't know each other except as pixels on a screen, but I feel oddly compelled to reassure everyone I do, in fact, know that a herring is a sort of fish.  :roll: or maybe  :psyduck: as applicable.

Re-check the strip. It was Raven that beleived that herring is a kind of bird.

DSL was referencing the strip hisself.  And I was aiming my post at TheEvilDog, trying to assert DSL (and Raven's) assertion, and make a joke of it. 

I missed, of course. 

Now, let's stop beating a dead herring lion...

Imma just sit over here, thinkin' about dogs. They're fuzzy.

Especially my niece's dog, which is in my lap.
