...my little pony?

That was the first thought that came into my head when I read that... a brony friend of mine got me to watch a few episodes when I was struggling with depression and I have to admit I'm jealous of their society. It's just shy of post scarcity, disease and injury is rare, they have at the very least an immortal benevolent dictator ruling them, if not a deity out right, and their entire culture is focused on the "self actualization" tier of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, with their coming of age ritual completely focused on the thing they have a particular gift for, then getting to do that for the rest of their lives.

I've been thinking of getting a couple budgies, but it wouldn't work well with my eventual goal of getting my falconry permit, birds of prey and tiny, tasty parrots do not coexist well in the same general area, even if they do have separate living spaces.

I have never seen either of these things but of course I see your posts, and another friend has some of the same obsessions (plus Community and others) so now I am enjoying these obsessions despite not actually knowing anything about them.

Re: Cage

He was good in Raising Arizona, the first thing I ever saw him in.  Of course, it was an absurdist comedy, so his "style" worked.

Actually, he was pretty understated in it.

After Moonstruck, it was all downhill.

So... The ball doesn't have to touch the ground for it to be a "touchdown"?

Finally a subject I know more about than Akima!

No, the ball doesn't need to be put on the ground. Carried into the endzone or caught there is enough.

Yeah, that's pretty nice. It's just a shame that it doesn't have radial symmetry, but you can't have it all, I guess.

Is that picture also a Venn diagram? Because it doesn't show up for me.

Twilight Sparkle's fiancé complains to artist; Internet comes to an end

Quote
a man claiming to be the fiancé of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic character Twilight Sparkle contacted a user of online community DeviantArt to demand he stop drawing sexual pictures of his imaginary pony-bride. The request was made in a letter that was then published in full on the Internet, which no longer has any reason to exist, having achieved everything it has ever set out to do.
