That was directed at Pat! Not you! And was meant in good humor, not as a snide remark. Sorry if I offended.

But I mean, people will do weird things sober or not. I knew a guy who would take his shirt off every time he could (photos, just because it'd be funny, etc.) and he doesn't drink. But I know people who get drunk and that's when the weird comes out, so yeah. I mean, I dunno, but that guy totally butt bombed the photo and it's funny either way.

It was a pre-going-out birthday party so there was no alcohol involved, just mass amounts of silliness.

In that photo which doesn't include the birthday boy, who doesn't drink, only four including myself drink. I'm not even a big drinker and one other isn't either so we won't miss it at a party. The other drank at the going out part.

My birthday party had pre-drinking drinking though.

That looks great! I've been considering a radical chop, my hair has been long for such a long time now that I feel anxious about it but it's heavy and warm, which is likely to be an issue this summer. Might wait til I get to the States and see if I think it's worth it for the drop in temperature.

If this summer will be anything like last summer (which it's looking like it will be), it's going to be really freaking hot. Ft. Wayne is not in a valley like Cincinnati is, so that might help a little, but I remember coming back from vacation in Florida and watching the thermostat in the car go up as we went north instead of going down like it should have. (It was easily 10+ degrees F hotter in Kentucky and Ohio than it was down south.) Indiana usually has similar weather to here, just less humid (stupid valleys), but I remember thinking I was nuts for growing out my hair again last year.

And ^ what she said. Even in the northern states (I think you said you'll be up north mostly?) it just gets ugly in the summer. You may want to consider getting your hair thinned out a bit even if you don't get it chopped, or be prepared to ponytail it!

You could also have it thinned out a bit? I don't know if that's just something people do with shorter hair, but my stylist would go in with a razor and cut some areas of my hair a little shorter, like underneath the outermost layer of hair (if that makes sense). It helped quite a bit.

Becky (is that the right spelling?), I'll be in the east coast as far south as Washington DC in July, then in Indiana for the rest of the summer. I wear my hair up all the time anyway and it's warm here - I think today's high was 22 celcius, which is about 70 Fahrenheit. I suspect it will be warmer there. Argh.

It's been in the 80s (around 24 C according to weather channel) lately, but it's going to be up in the 90s by the weekend. So...it's going to be hot. I mean worse comes to worse, you just get your hair trimmed while you're with Edith if need be. Or just spend most of your time inside or at the pool like I do when it's hot.

It really is amazing how lovely a cold floor can be in gross temperatures. The cat has been spending all of her time sprawled on our tile kitchen floor. It's been fairly steady temperature-wise the past week but it's been SO humid. At least it almost feels like Spring/Summer though...the weather here has been very indecisive. It's not unusual for us to experience the sensation of all four seasons in one week.

Guys it gets up to 45 C (~115 F) here in Livermore during parts of the summer, no joke. I cut my hair off after it was past my shoulders, as you've seen, and it's about 2" long now. DEFINITELY the best idea for temperature control. Thinking about cutting it again soon, in fact.

I stayed at the house of one of my best pals from the forum Metalstorm. He welcomed me with Pisco (Chilean liquor)... I was extremely happy as I hadn't tasted Pisco in almost two years.

He had some extremely dangerous stairs!... And that's only the first ones (second floor). Puts some of the Mayan pyramids to shame. It's best if you go down sideways.
