I was teensy- 5 lbs, 6 oz when I was born. Also about a month premature. And apparently I was "quick" to do everything else too. I spoke fairly early and remember my mom telling me that even before I started school, I "read" bedtimes stories instead of her because I memorized them. Of course now, I can't remember crap. :-P
I guess technically, my first time speaking was a sentence. "Hi Daddy"

Mackenzie is SO. ADORABLE!
I don't know how old I was when I started walking/talking, I just no my first word was, "No," and I supposedly liked saying it a lot, both for no and yes.

Funny, my mom says the exact same thing about me. I had my favorite bedtime story memorized as well, so it was basically me telling them to my mom.
She also tells me that I started reading before starting school because of the TV guide. Toddler me sees my dad looking at a booklet, who says "oh, this is on TV", at which point he turns on the TV and lo, it is as he says. MAGIC. Toddler me demanded to know how he did that, and so was taught to read.

Heh, thanks everybody ^_^
Mac babbles a lot and we can tell she has her own words for a lot of things (wtf is dockadoo?), but right now there are only a handful we recognize. Her favorite word right now is "hey". Someone walks in the room - "Hey! Heyyy! Hey! Heyyyyyyy! Heyyy!" She says "whoa" when she drops something or falls down, and she says "oh yeah!" when she's excited about something. She also knows nie-nie (night-night), bah (ball), bot (bottle), mama, dada/deedah, mum-mum-mum (nom-noms, what we call solid food), and grah (granny, grandma, or granddaddy). She even came out with the full "grah-dah-dee!" one day.
She nods her head, which we're figuring out means both "yes" and "I like this" - either way she recognizes that head-nodding is a positive reaction. Luckily she hasn't learned to say "no" yet, though she definitely knows what it means! She dances any time any music comes on... or when we sing or drum on something... or just when she feels like it. And a few days ago she was trying to jump. Physical skills are definitely her forte!
Yes, I'm a first-time mom, how could you tell.
