Apparently I preferred to say "yes" rather than "no" when I was little. One time I got hurt badly enough that my parents took me to the emergency room, and the injury - I wrenched my arm, maybe? - looked like possible abuse to the doctors, so they tried to ask me questions... Did someone hurt you? Yes! Did your parents do this to you? Yes! Have they ever hurt you before? Yes! I want to say I was about 18 months, which seems rather young to be trying to question a kid, but it all got sorted out.

Oh, lord... that reminds me of our adventurous (and consequently accident prone) daughter and her frequent visits to the emergency room for the oddest injuries.  I also remember the one where, after the nurse looked at us oddly (it was the fifth visit in three months), we insisted that she tell the nurse what happened herself.  I think she was 5, explaining how she cut her foot falling of the top of a fire hydrant.

The nurse's reactions were always the same as ours;  "...and what were you doing on top of a fire hydrant?"

Or the stiches that put the inside of her cheek back; "...how did the cat's paw get inside your mouth again?"

Or the broken wrist; "...why were you doing a handstand in the bathtub?"

You have some fun ahead of you, Elysiana...
