RIP Steve Jobs (1955-2011)
pwhodges:
From the Steve Jobs thread on an organ forum I frequent:
--- Quote ---In the mid 1980’s Mr. Jobs bought a huge house, The Jackling House. He stayed there about ten years and after that the house deteriorated. He wanted to demolish the house and build a new one. After some legal battles he got permission and the house was demolished earlier this year. But before that enthusiasts eventually got permission to remove the huge organ that was part of the house. See:

Zingoleb:
Does anyone think Apple has a chance without him? It fell apart without him before.
Kugai:
It's always possible.
Last time round they pushed him out thought without really realising the consequences of doing so and they payed a very heavy price for doing so. One would hope that they have learned form that mistake and would have put something in place to make sure that this time round it doesn't happen. Especially as they, and Steve have known that his passing was on the cards for some time.

eh I think the internet in general made indie bands more accessible

They definitely learned from that mistake, and are trying to keep his spirit.
