Sad news, though sadly no surprise.

There is another thread on this in the CLIKC forum, but I have left this here for those who don't normally visit it.

Heck, we could have even slipped a thread into the Music subforum, too. He was the one who helped change digital music and made indie bands more accessible to their fanbase.

That is true. I guess when it comes to a board arranged like this one is, there is no definitive place to put a RIP thread for Steve Jobs. His influence is all over the place. Very few can reach that level of influence on the world.

But the ipod revolutionalised (? it's late) the mp3 player, and more importantly, made it shiny and must-have.  They'd been the playthings of the few before then!
