Akima:
Heh... Pots and kettles come to mind. Shocked Hanners is shocked! I think Marigold might be in for a scolding.

Heh. I was waiting for someone to say that.
--- Quote from: Delator on 24 Nov 2011, 22:11 ---Hey Marigold, maybe the reason nobody likes you is because every time someone manages to drag you out of your shell, all they find is a total bitch?
--- End quote ---
Oooh, the stakes have been raised! "total bitch" going once... twice...
Soulsynger:
I don't get it. What's so "dork-glasses" about Faye's glasses? Is it just the differently colored middle piece? Or is it that she looks more hippster than ever?
Me = confuddled.

I won't disagree with that. I spend a lot of time around geeks and nerds--I do mean a considerable amount. And the kind of geek Marigold is proving to be is exactly the kind I avoid. We have all been made fun of in our lives as geeks. Our job should be to be as kind as possible to others, to show that we haven't been beaten down by their cruelty, that we can rise above all of the teasing and bullying and insults. We should think of ourselves as equal to others and never as better: That's the kind of thing the awful people do. I know Faye and Marigold have had some stressful times with each other, but I really thought Marigold was capable of rising above her jealousy and agreeing to be friends with Faye. I'm sure Marigold has been made fun of for her glasses and has probably broken them before (or had them broken by someone cruel)--why spread the hate? That's something we need less of, not more. If she doesn't like the way Faye treats people, then maybe she should learn to be an example instead of sinking to her level. Plus, it was just a random, childish thing. It was unnecessary. Surely Marigold knows how to be classier than that. I am just really disappointed.
Soulsynger: The bridge got broken somehow in her pie episode that morning, so she had to tape the pieces of her glasses together, something that is typically associated with bullied nerds (because mean people like to break glasses--I haven't had this happen, but I know it does).

Faye had to repair her glasses with tape after punch Padma landed.
