Dora's probably going to be more upset about Faye getting the L word from Angus than about anything Marten does. She and Faye still have the "my daddy issues are bigger than your trust issues" fight to resolve.
That's a thing between them? Links!

By characterizing it as a "fight" I'm probably overstating it , but there have been a few places where tension around that issue has come up:

Dora casually mentions it back in the 1300s
Faye basically made Dora go to therapy after The Breakup.
Faye sorta eyerolled at Dora questioning her therapists' methods in  1878

Overall Faye has been a supportive friend to Dora while Dora starts out therapy. I just see the potential for a story line there.

What we can predict however, is by the time Faye's hair grows back out to proper length roughly two months will have passed in story. So there is that I suppose.... Unless of course she decides she loves it and constantly cuts her hair to keep it that way.

Umm....

I'm reading those comics and trying very hard to see your interpretation of some kind of "my daddy issues are bigger than your trust issues" tension - or any tension, really. But try as I might, I simply cannot see it.

I can't even imagine it.

Am I missing something?

Edit: sorry, mussed up the quoting.

Or it'll turn out that she's an Alien Clone of the real Faye and the hair will never grow.

Wait, my eyes are not deceiving me right, Dora is actually nibbling on Faye's hair? Why's she (Dora) not been pummeled into the ground by her (Faye) yet?

Fucking pronouns are at it again. :psyduck:

Faye's not as put off by physical contact as she used to be, and she's used to Dora's touch-y shenanigans by now.

Ok, Tova, So my qualifications of "overstating it" and "I just see the potential for a story line there." wasn't enough backtracking... fair enough.

Please wrap my last couple of posts with a big "Wouldn't it be neat if" ... and disagree with that if you must. :D

Oh come on! Faye hasn't actually pummeled anybody for a good long time now.

Man, I was four. Four year olds do weird things and think they're hilarious.

Seriously. I remember being taken on train trips with my parents, and when we went past Lakemba station I and my brothers would sing loudly "LAKEMBA YOU'RE A WOMBLE" thinking it was the wittiest thing ever conceived.

I feel for my parents whenever I think back to it.

Earlier in the year, if I checked when Jeph last logged in (as shown in his profile), it was typically weeks earlier - it reached nearly three months at one point, I think.  Of late, he appears to have been looking several times a week.
