I just saw Drive and it was pretty good, even if it was really sad. I didn't know it was so gory though.
Is it cold in here?:
Dark Shadows. A failure if it was trying to be an homage to the original, or a respectful reimagining, or a comedy, or a horror film, or a character film, or an interesting plot. Minor success as a period piece.
Nikolai:
Battleship. Normally I'm very easy to please when it comes to action movies. Give me some explosions, firefights, and a couple of almost-correctly kitted soldiers, and I'll give it a thumbs up. But this? This was just painful.

The Avengers. Had a good laugh. Interesting what they did with reflections too. Also reminded me why I dislike 3D movies so much: they make watching into an effort. Gotta get me some of those 2D glasses sometime.
Welu:
Saw Men In Black 3. I really liked it and was totally blown away by Jemaine Clement because I spent the whole film, "I know who that is but can't think of who it is!"-ing at him then was gobsmacked at the credits.
Had to see it in 3D though and ugh... The 3D ads for turning off your phone was far superior. Cinema upgraded its projector so I could actually see the 3D where I was looking, not just in my periphery. If you can see it in 2D, do it.
