Confession: when a friend told me about a guy she was dating, and that it might turn into something, I told her "maybe you'll fall in love and have a reasonable number of babies".  She responded that the guy was one of 8 kids.  Eep.

Whoda thunk the cooped up scientist of all people would be so refined in the art of flirting.  Well played, York.  Well played.

Space babies, Hanners.  You may get em. :-o

Interesting.  Hanners had to go wash her hands after touching Marbear's clothed shoulders.  She didn't have to go take a hot shower after Marten "tickled her."  Just an observation.

Actually, it depends on the settings. You can have it load to the regular screen, or have it load the cart directly.

Tiny nitpick: was Hannelore always taller than Mari?
Hannelore is tall. She's at least as tall as Marten, never mind Marigold.

I'm just coasting along, wondering how a DS produces typed text that looks like it was written by an eight-year-old. Or does the DS support some sort of stylus input? <goowiki goowiki> Ah, I see it does, in which case Francis' calligraphy is awful.

Well, he is a guy, also writing with a stylus is harder than writing on paper.  (I tried writing a bit on my Galaxy Note the other day, it looked significantly worse).

I would guess he's a little stressed. If I were about to show such strong feelings for Marigold, I'd probably be stressed as well, and calligraphically challenged.

DS screens aren't that sensitive either. His writing there is probably about as good as most people can manage if they're not being deliberately meticulous.

Hannerdad's comment raises the question of what year QC is set in. Since he mentioned 1984, it can't be that far from the present day, (unless he actually meant 2084??) If QC is set in the current year (2012 at the time of writing) then that would make him 28 when he designed the paranormal containment unit (PCU).

However then I remind myself that time moves far slower in-comic than it does in real life. So assuming that the first comics were set in the present day, and 1-2 years have passed, that makes it 2004-5. That means they have Twitter in the year 2005? Actually since they also have humanoid robots, I shouldn't be surprised.
