Method of Madness:
What's the deal with people who take selfies in the mirror...and look at their phone? You know where the camera button is, and you can see what you look like by looking into the mirror. Looking into the mirror instead of at the phone also results in a picture where your head isn't looking awkwardly downward.

I have always wondered this. I deliberately don't look into the camera, that's like, the point.

With my phone, if I don't look at it, I am a million times more likely to get a blurry picture.

But you have room for, like, one million pictures on that thing. Take all of them, and you'll end up with at least one that's not blurry!

It depends on what you're intending to show with the photograph. If it's the outfit, which it usually is in a mirror, then people aren't concentrating on their expression. Also if you're intent is quickly snap it (<30 seconds), and be done then it's easier to look at the phone to be sure the photo is right. It's surprising how much your hand can move when you aren't using your eyes to coordinate between the phone and mirror.
