Someone pointed out to me the irony of the day of being thankful for what you have directly preceding the day of massive, frenzied buying of what you don't need. Only in America.

--- Quote from: bainidhe_dub on 20 Nov 2012, 08:22 ---I occasionally find rough, black, curly strands in with my otherwise straight(ish) blonde hair. They're easiest to spot when they're short and along my part because they stick up all crazy, but now and then I find long ones... I really do not know what to make of it.

--- End quote ---

I have those too. They grow in one spot behind my left ear and I don't know why they're there. They are completely different in color, texture, and thickness from the rest of my hair and most don't get long, but luckily they're weighted down by the rest of the hair on that side of my head.

--- Quote from: Is it cold in here? on 23 Nov 2012, 20:20 ---So, the cliche is that extroverts gain energy from social interaction, and introverts are drained by it.

A friend points out that energy is conserved, so the extroverts must be sucking it out of the introverts.

--- End quote ---

They totally do. It's not that we're low energy, it's just that the extroverts demand so much of it, I run out faster than usual. Jerks. :-P

It seems like I'm getting more pearly white hairs along the sagittal axis of my scalp. My hair's like 1% salt, 99% pepper. Maybe the ambiguous left/right divide is throwing the gene expression out of whack there, making the pigmentation change. It might be kinda cool to have a white fauxhawk, though.

Also, I'm (procrastination on) making a Powerpoint presentation in Office 2010, and some of these transitions are so obnoxious that I wonder Microsoft is trolling. Vortex is a transition that goes on for five seconds. I shudder to think that someone might actually use this in a real presentation.

Meanwhile at Microsoft...

"Let's design a slide that will go on for a exorbitant amount of time so that presentation givers everywhere can make their shows seem longer than they actually are"

"MWAHAHA brilliant..."

"we need a name"

"vortex..."

I want to change my avatar.
