Zingoleb:
Body odour and dirt are two very, very, very distinct smells. Fresh dirt has a gloriously deep beauty to it - especially when it's alive, moist, aerated.

Then again, you strike me as a city person, May.

Barmymoo:
Hey! I only moved to a city when I turned 18! Until then I have always lived in semi-rural villages, and my mum's house is in the middle of nowhere. I do, however, wash frequently.

You could get the smell of dirt by rolling in mud.

Is it cold in here?:
Now I'm thinking of the Far Side cartoon where the dogs are going on a date and the guy says something to the effect "You look great, and whatever you rolled in sure does stink!"

Oh, dear child, you do NOT live anywhere CLOSE to the middle of nowhere.

I work there.

nekowafer:
Mud doesn't smell the same as fresh dirt from a forest floor. If it eases your mind I didn't spend very much on the perfume, it was like $6.
