I don't think it's either pervy or objectifying. I notice butts, bottoms and asses. For years, I've learned to recognize many of my women friends by their backs as well as their fronts, even if they're not all that attractive from either side. Would I developed that if I didn't find bottoms attractive? I don't know. Other guys might have an answer for that.

More archive-binge thoughts:
Every time I read comic 815 I expect a line about the three-body problem and every time I read comic 815 there isn't one.

You're reading the archive for the fifth time because you're going through withdrawawl. And Dora's question is valid, because Sven doesn't play songs...he just writes them. A means to survive.

We've seen him sing (Hannelore's birthday outing), even though that's not how he makes his money.
I'm puzzled by the talk about Sven, though - 637 doesn't mention him.
Carl-E:
True, but I think the complaint is over Dora's comment about having to enjoy what you play, and that this seems curious in light of her brother's source of income. Of course, when Sven performs, it probably tends to be things he enjoys, all the way down to those drunken Beatles medleys...
So yeah, not really an issue. Besides, who says he doesn't appreciate some country music?
