Actually, I had it so it never even sat in the inbox, it would just forward it without making a local copy.

Also there are apparently cafes in Japan where you can hang out with cats.

A friend and I were making a business plan six months ago for a lesbian cat cafe (the cats wouldn't have to be lesbians, but the cafe would be aimed at human lesbians because there is a very large overlap). It's still the back-up plan...

I only have about 3500 mails, the oldest one being from 2011. I store them locally so that point represents the last time I reformatted my PC.

Let's see... when were you all born?

I have e-mails that I've archived that are probably old enough to drink in my state.

Once I got Gmail, I never deleted an e-mail without an actual reason. Why would I?

I tend to archive things but leave e-mails that are a reminder for an upcoming event or obligation in my inbox. For example my inbox currently contains my tuition bill for next semester, the date of a meeting I need to go to for a trip to NYC I'm going on, and an e-mail from my boss telling me what time spring training starts on Sunday.

I delete everything I don't need from my personal email. My "Important" folders are just for things I might use in the future - between both of my major email accounts I have maybe 20 "important" emails saved.

See, if it's important, it was probably sent to my professional e-mail (also a gmail). That's the only one I get a notification on my phone for.

Okay, who wrote the Wikipedia article on Frostburg State University? They couldn't come up with pictures of the place, so they put up a picture of the Sheetz on the other side of town...  :psyduck: Plus, is it really necessary for the article to contain the records of the womens' tennis team's last ten losing seasons (or any athletic records, for that matter)? This makes me remember why I quit editing Wikipedia.

In addition to "an egg" another answer would be "a gold mine".

Speaking of eggs, why the hell is Humpty Dumpty universally considered an egg? Sure there was an illustration, but the words could easily support it being a person.

The first thing Gareth said to me on the forum was "we're white as fuck".

He also called me a bro and I'm not sure if it was meant to be ironic.

I feel nostalgic today~~

Whenever there are university breaks coming up, everyone always says things like "oh my god I can't wait to sleep in my own bed." But I think the bed in my dorm room is way more comfortable than my bed at home, and I'm looking forward to returning to it.

I think it may be more of a quiet environment thing rather than the bed itself. At home I can't help the fact that I live on a busy street or that the streetlights shine right through my curtains, or that the ceiling fan makes noise but I can't turn it off because my family keeps the house too hot. I don't have those problems up at school.

I now feel that way about my own personal bed. It is the first bed ever that has really been mine and holy Freyja's ocher tears it is awesome. I hate going place now. Even to visit my family or on road trips for work, because I am passionately, madly in love with my bed. Too bad my alarm clock is a jealous whore and is determined to keep us apart.

In other news.

Interestingly from what I understand the Nazis themselves never called their useage of the symbol the Swastika, instead calling it the bent or crooked cross.

The Celtic triskelion is ancient enough that nobody really knows what it means any more. It appears on Iron Age monuments all over Europe, though, and is on the flags of both the Isle of Man and Sicily.

One of the things that makes me truly annoyed is that the triskelion has been co-opted by some European white-supremacist groups, because it's sort of swastika-ish but different enough to get around the law in countries where display of the swastika is banned.

The Triqueta is another one that's so stupidly old that we don't know what it means any more, neo-pagans, druids, and wiccans use it for a variety of things including air, sea and sky (which is what I use it for), one of the triple goddesses, and of course the Christians use it for the trinity.

My first thought when I heard Chris O'Dowd (The IT Crowd) was playing Lenny from Of Mice and Men.

"Lenny, she's just lying there, what did you do?"
"I tried turning her off and on again."

I just spent an unnessecary amount of time rearranging my "News" folder on Google Chrome.

It now holds a "US/World" folder containing Al Jazeera, Huffington Post, Democracy Now (mostly for the daily headlines video), msnbc, and the Chronicle of Higher Education. Some aren't the "best" sources (specifically the Huffington Post) but I like modern-designed sites that allow for a quick overview of what's going on. I didn't add the New York Times site for this reason.

There's also a local folder with most local news sources, a weather folder, and Playbill because I didn't know where to categorize it. I considered adding a "Misc." sub-folder and putting the Chronicle in there, but the folder is already really clunky.

While looking for sites to add I've discovered that the CNN website has become useless, mostly advertising stuff that will be on their channel rather than providing easy access to online articles.

Hearing about pain makes me so uncomfortable. There's this radio commercial they keep playing about knee pain. It came on when I was driving up to school (up mountains in heavy rain) and I had to turn it off so I'd stay focused on the road.

I honestly don't know why any one would subject themselves to the tyranny of the radio, unless they lack both an aux port AND a tape deck.

I subscribe to satellite radio, so I have choices, man. CHOICES.

And I do have an AUX port on my car's system. I'm just too lazy to bring my iPod out in the cold.
