Hey, long time lurker, first time poster here. Not to be an asshole, but the Earth's core is actually solid due to the immense pressure on it.

The Earth's core is described as having two parts, the solid inner core (this was finally established to be solid in 1971) and the liquid outer core. The inner core has about one third of the radius of the outer core, so comprises only about 4% of the total core's volume.
