How so?  Arthur Dent didn't want to travel, he wanted to stay in his house; the bureaucrats decided to knock his house down (which would have forced him to move), and then the Vogons and Ford Prefect turned up and he had to travel to survive.

Yeah, I ruled out THHGTTG right away because I vividly remember Arthur Dent lying in the mud in front of a bulldozer. He didn't want to go anywhere.
