Been there, and done that. It's not pleasant for anyone involved, not for yourself, nor (and ESPECIALLY) for people who truly care for you.
I don't wish Jeph for a speedy recovery either. "Speedy" is never "complete". Take your time, regain your focus, and find that strength to take on your inner demons and kick their asses.
I can wait for as long as it takes.

Jeph, you take as long as you need. I've turned to your comic in dark times and it's made me feel better so hopefully some fan support can return the favour at least a little.

I rarely ever post, but I felt like this warranted it. QC is bar none my favorite web comic and is the one that got me to enjoy the genre overall. I'll happily stick around as long as it takes for Jeph to recover. I have no idea if he sees or reads the forum commentary, but if he does I figure the more of us who join this thread and send support his way, the better. Its so important to know that one isn't the only person to ever have a breakdown and to know that there's a huge community rooting for you through all of it.

I hope you find the serenity you need, Jeph. Even if you need to turn QC into an outlet for anything and everything, indefinitely deterring from plot and characters. :-)
