Invented? Paperless toilets have been in use for centuries...
Jeph, unlike Masamune Shirow with the tachikoma, gave his creation the correct number of legs for a spider. I wonder if the shock of being ambushed by a robo-spider is the real test, and the questionnaire is just a distraction.

I had that thought... but what would that prove as far a social qualifications go? That you can cope with your assigned anthro-PC looking like a salticidae?

I think its just a case where robots/droids/etc just wouldnt get the human reaction.
And yeah spiders are no insects, since insects have 6 legs and spiders have 8 ... but meh, I still call them "insects" all the time.

I'm curious as to whether non-standard/animal-style chassis are available for companion AnthroPCs. It doesn't seem to be that much of a stretch, considering that we've already seen a sentient toaster (not to mention that Winslow's chassis barely qualifies as humanoid either).
