So a bunch of us forumites are thinking we're going to have a UK forum meetup in London!

London. That's the one in England.

I don't know if there's one in the US. Maybe in Alabama.

Anyhoo, no date is arranged, but I think obviously we're looking at after the holiday period.

So what dates can people do?

And who is coming?

I'll come for London and all I really need is to work around college. Have a job but getting time off is usually easy.
There's meant to be a study leave week or two in January. If that's too soon I should be able to do most weekends. No class on Friday so in theory, arrive Friday, meet Friday or Saturday, leave Saturday or Sunday is a possibility for me.

I would come, subject to the fact that I am ridiculously busy during term time. If it were before January 4th Jens could come too! Saturdays are best for me really, or Monday or Friday nights I guess. Sundays and other weekdays are totally out.

Bluesummers, there have been east coast USA meets in the past and you're welcome to organise one! But none of us could get to it. I for one have done all the inter-continental travel I can afford for at least the next year.

I would very much like to visit the US, and meet everybody. New York in particular is a place I'd love to go. But that would be at least a year from now, if I started saving immediately i.e. isn't happening.

Ooooh I could actually do a New York meetup. So, uh, somebody make that happen already.

I will be there in March but it's to get my tongue split so I don't know that I can be very sociable after that.

So essentially the only people that can meet up in London are people in the UK or the first closest countries of Europe?

I work in London, so this is pretty easy for me. Very little effort/expense involved. Would love to meet some people (whether you'd love to meet me is a totally different story).

I actually have a class trip to London some time in the New Year but there wouldn't be any time for meeting, I think. Plus it'd probably be during the week. I want to do the meet just to fly the most I ever have in one year as soon as possible.

I'm going to be a dick because I am lacking both the time and the money to travel over yonder. One day....

My pub isn't in London, unfortunately, it's in a city called Norwich, but with enough notice train tickets are crazy cheap and it's only like 2 hours direct into Loverpool Street.

I live about an hour from Norwich...it's not the same Norwich, but I'm pretty sure if I walk into City Hall they'll let me use their Floo Network for a nominal fee, to get to your pub.

I'm not quite sure where we were, but we got on a bus going the wrong direction one time and ended up in a neighbourhood where everyone only spoke Spanish. Actually I think the house we were in was on the edge of an entirely Hispanic neighbourhood. It was quite a nice house, huge and expensive (it was legit for sale) but needed a lot of work.
