So I'm quitting smoking

<< < (24/49) > >>

Redball:
I quit cold turkey after seeing a hypnotist 35 years ago. Six months later, someone left a pack of cigarettes in my living room after a large party. I found it as I picked up around 3 a.m., and smoked one. I realized I could never do that again. A few months later, I took a drag on a joint as it was passed around at a party. Too much like a cigarette, and I realized I could never do that again. So I look at tobacco as I imagine an alcoholic does. I'm vulnerable, and perhaps I'll always be, although I haven't felt tempted for years.

Bluesummers:
I would be averse to smoking cigarettes or joints, simply because of my asthma.

Brownies, on the other hand, are something I've wanted to try for a while.

Zingoleb:
A vapouriser could treat you well, though it's a bit of a costly investment.

Bluesummers:
Like, for asthma? I had a nebulizer for a while when I was younger. It's been much better since I left high school, but it does get aggravated by smoke of many types.

Thrillho:
I am actually a former asthmatic, so I'm a double idiot but in my experience joints aren't anywhere near as bad as straight tobacco as far as how it affects breathing.
