I will be grateful for the hopefully inevitable thunderstorm to break the fug and the pressure, and I love rain anyway.

I went in to work after the storm to check on the equipment. That was all fine, though getting there was interesting. All the traffic lights were out. Now, of course, what you're supposed to do is treat it as an all-way stop. At one point, I had to cross a six-lane highway. Five cars stopped for me. The sixth barrelled through at 60 mph and almost hit me...

And here I always thought that UK folks used Farenheit when it was hot, and Celcius when it was cold. Then again, it was 20 years ago when I lived there, so things probably have changed.

I know literally nobody who still defaults to farenheit in the UK now. I have no concept whatsoever of where that scale sits when Americans talk about things.
