 Yeah, spring's here.

Wow...I'm sorry, how far north of the Arctic Circle do you live?

I'm further south than you are, I think - south central PA, in the foothills of the Allegheny mountains.  Spring is known for 50o days and midnight frosts.

Carl, it sounds like you and I have pretty similar weather patterns. A few friends joke that the Hudson Valley is the only place you can experience all 4 seasons in one week.

Last week we had a ridiculous snow storm. Heavy snow all day long, got around 3-4 inches. The next day it hit 60o and everything melted. Since then it was between 50-55o until yesterday- dropped down to 30o. Aaaaand apparently we're supposed to get MORE snow tomorrow.

I useta live in Rhinebeck.  Good memories, especially sledding at the Mills estate.  The hills out back rolled right down to the river...

It was in the 80s today in Oklahoma. When it gets this warm this early in the spring, it can mean only one thing: the tornado's comin'.

Carl-E:
My drive home Monday.

70 miles, took about 2 hours.  The real hazard, of course, is the other drivers - this was a clear patch.

And no, it's not out of focus - it's snowing, goddammit.
