Not something I've seen myself, but I know lots of librarians and library staff through Edith and one day they were all exchanging stories about library users who pooed in the library. Apparently it's more common than you'd think, and not only children either...

A librarian friend of ours had to remove a student (apparently drunk) who had removed all of her clothes and had gone to sleep on the floor.

Rather lame by these standards; the strangest thing in my college library was this bit of graffiti:
"Pope John Paul I - Patron saint of limited-term employees."
