I think BeoPuppy meant the whole "orgasms in mouth" thing.
Seems more a Gareth thing than a BeoPuppy thing, to be honest.

The Guardian did an article about the meetings that I'm an administrator for. By necessity these meetings are mostly a closed circuit so the only people you get to talk to about them are those that are already involved and invested in them. So for that it's quite interesting to get an external perspective on them. Although I think it misses some of what it's like to attend these meetings regularly and some of the more troubling information that gets discussed, it's a pretty good article and conveys well what the process is about and some of the challenges that are faced. It's also really helpful to me to have a well written article like this that I can refer to for something that I find difficult talk about at times.

I'm pretty sure that what happened was that GM noticed the wrong thread and when he saw DA CUTE he just thought "man forget it, I can put this as a blog thread post too" and just rolled with it.

Now my comment is indeed more suited for threads of the non-euclidean persuasion.

It's kind of a weird feeling when I realize that despite being nowhere near a plate boundary, I'm currently refreshing the USGS website to check what the magnitude of the earthquake that just happened was. It wasn't all that big of one, but I'm starting a betting pool with my roommates; my bet is 3.5.

edit -- 3.8. I was pretty close.

Man. That Thanksgiving week was a doozy. I miss my sister now that she is back home in VA but I am sure glad that holiday is past and I can sorta return to normality.

I started a new band already. That was quicker than I expected but bassists are hard to come by, and good ones even harder. The new band involves Matt, but a new drummer. This dynamic is much more to my liking; less people who want to pick on me all the time, a more professional attitude, a drummer who isn't averse to constructive criticism, and the ability to maybe pack up our lives for a week or two and tour sometime, as opposed to Paul's 9-to-5 getting in the way of that.

I am optimistic, and if I were allowed to share the demos, I'd let them speak for themselves. All y'all really need to know is that I'm back playing in a band and I'm happy.

I would stab a baby to be the bass player in your band.

Also imagine the three part harmonies.

I wrote a song, and it's horrible and absolutely shitty, and it's about suicide girl, which is stupider because I had promised myself that I wouldn't write songs about her anymore, yet I'm still somewhat happy as it's the first thing I wrote in a year

New band has practiced again. No new songs as of yet, but we've tightened up and amended faults in one of the three from before. Added a part and made the song longer, and I've added harmony vocals. Now if Matt will just sing on pitch we'll be copacetic ;)

Singing off key was kinda Matt's 'character' based on Troubador... it works for him!

I guess this goes here.

So... I kinda have a verdict. VA is putting me on heavy painkillers and my doc is thinking I've been misdiagnosed. To writ I just had every lab the local clinic can do done, and I have a full body bone scan scheduled, and probably MRIs of both legs. As such, considering my health and my current academic condition, I am withdrawing from my current gunsmithing program effective Monday.

Matched some girl on Tinder today. She went completely psychotic on me for asking if she spoke German. Her profile said she was half, and I have a good friend who's half and speaks it... Yeah I unmatched her

Also, saw David Bazan and American Football last night at the Fillmore. David Bazan was awesome and he's genuinely one of the most personable people in show business. American Football were the polar opposite. Complete dicks and not even really on top of their game. I'll never spend money on them again as long as I live. They even straight up said they didn't want to be there.

My goal for this winter break is to not spend so much money. My place of employment on campus shuts down and I don't have a job at home to return to as many do. So I'm left with nothing to occupy myself, and I become very bored and do ill-advised things like eat too many meals out and take spur-of-the-moment road trips. But last break, after two plays, multiple outings with friends (with all the costs associated), and one trip to Roanoke, I ended up having to scrape together cash to buy Christmas presents.

I had this thought.

If it was determined that Akima was in that coffee shop, I imagine that GM would be on the next plane to Australia.

I. Uh. I can't really refute that.

I wouldn't waste time with a plane though, I'd teleport using my reserves of hate and discontent for fuel.

Just to reassure everyone here (I don't think anyone would prefer me to be taken hostage  and if they do, I am happy to disappoint them :-D), I was nowhere near Martin Place this morning, and I'm as safe as anyone is.

If *you* were taken hostage, I'd be praying for the hostage-takers, since I don't think that you'd have to even make a fist to take them down.  I'd expect that you could shame them into complacency.
