Not really. Danielle posted about bringing the comic to a close a while back. Unless you read her blog posts under the comic though you wouldn't know... There was no lead up to an obvious ending. I'm glad that there is some showing of growth from Hazel though. Even since losing her apartment and especially breaking up with Zack she has really to be become an unlikable character. She seemed determined to work herself into a rut, never wanted anything to change and just whined incessantly. To the point where it was painful to watch and make me not want to read the comics she was in. Nothing to take away from Danielle's writing of course, she was well written. I've just known to many people like that in life and had much the same reaction... Eventually I just want to smack them and tell them to get on with life. The other characters in the comic kept me coming back though.
In the end, I'm sorry that the comic has stopped. It has been a part of my daily routine for a long time, and I'll miss reading it. But like I said up above... Things change, and you need to get on with life. I'm interested to see where Danielle goes from here.
I do wonder what significance there is in McPedro shuffling what looks to be the opposite direction from Hazel and Zach in the final panel.
