I did an hour of electrolysis once that I still actually haven't paid for. It wasn't painful - I said 'ow' a couple of times, but mostly it just felt like a hot slap. I'm unsure if I'd like to continue down that route, though.

I did it last year for my upper lip hair. It didn't really work, and I followed all of their guidelines and care instructions. :(
